CP Company X Adidas - What we already know

So on twitter the other day I noticed that @TheYeezyMafia had posted leaked photos of an Adidas C.P Company collaberation which is scheduled for August 2018 with the images of a pictures of a red suede Adidas Kamanda with the Adidas x C.P Company tag on the tounge and the tounge bottom, personally the shoes aren't my style although I can see the appeal and the reason why they chose this shoe as one of the collaberation shoes and the reason why I think they did is because the Kamanda is a fairly new shoe as it was released back in December 2017 and it's a fairly modern shoe for Adidas and C.P Company are trying to keep themselves relevent as many people have said that the brand itself has gone 'down-hill' since they were sold to FGF Fashion back in Autumn/Winter 2011 with people weren't happy with the company placing lense's on the arm of the jackets and on hats as it defeats the point of having a watchviewer.

From C.P Company's perspective I can see the benefit of them doing a collaboration with Adidas because the brand themselves are trying to stay relevant and find a new crowd to attract because when you look at the age group of people who are buying C.P Company and the typical 'casual' scene many of the people who would be purchasing the product are in there 40's and aren't buying as much as a typical teenager would so I can understand that they want to try and attract a new generation of people interested in the brand so this collaberation, you can see this in brands like Belfstaff they're now doing nylon overshirts compared to there wax jackets because they want to try and attract a new generation of customers.

My thought's on the collaboration?

Personally, I wouldn't purchase the Kamanda shoes because they're not my style although the jacket itself is a really good piece as it has similar features to a Mille Miliga jacket with the watch-viewer on the left-hand side, large pockets on the left chest. The goggles on them are a split-lens goggle jacket so the piece is very unique although from reading discussions on Twitter on pages like YeezyMafia many people aren't too interested in the collaboration and are comparing it to the Stone Island x Nike collaboration although I'm personally a fan of the jacket but not so much of the Kamanda shoes. I think the jacket will be expensive which is understandable as if you look at a similar piece the green goggle jacket with the goggles and the watchviewer the price tag is around £550 so I personally think that the jacket could retail anywhere from £600 upwards which is quite pricey in my opinion considering it's just a summer jacket whereas if it was a winter piece it's more justifiable.

What would I like to see from the Collaboration?

I would like to see them releasing possibly another jacket with the standard Goggle jacket as it's C.P Company's most popular piece as of recent and I would like to see possibly more trainers possibly linking to the terrace 'casual' culture surrounding the two brands as this definitely made C.P Company very popular in the United Kingdom and Europe in paticular and Adidas was and still is a choice of shoe for a typical 'casual' so I think for there to be more popularity surronding the collaberation that they should release a shoe on a Gazelle or Samba silouette. There is a rumor on there being a Tobacco silhouette although time will only tell and with pictures been leaked of the collaboration as the days go by we will have more information in the next couple of months regarding confirmed pieces.
