Owen's Wardrobe - Stone Island Lamy
One of my favourite brands as you may already know is Stone Island which I have a few pieces of and one of my personal favourites out of that is the Stone Island Lamy which is part of the Spring Summer 2012 collection. Even though the piece is from Spring Summer I tend to only really wear the piece during the autumn months when it's a bit miserable and windy as the piece itself is wind resistant which is ideal for casual wear although I tend to only really wear this jacket on occasions purely because it's a really thin piece and if there was a lot of wear and tear then it could potentially rip.

The piece does come with the limited edition patch in a white/gold compass which shows that the garment is unique and is the first time that Stone Island has used a new material or technology on a garment which when looking at the label it says that the jacket is 'Garment Dyed' which is a standard process that Stone Island use, there is also use of a 'Inner resin coating' which will make the jacket water and wind resistant so when it's a miserable day this jacket can be ideal if it's a light shower of rain although if it's heavy rain then it would go through the jacket and you'd be soaked.
Even though the jacket is very thin I find it's like a 'sweatbox' even when just wearing a shirt underneath hence why I never wear it in the summer months when it's really warm. The jacket itself is really easy to style as it goes well with black or navy trousers and selvedge denim jeans, underneath the actual jacket I would either just wear a shirt or a long sleeve t-shirt due to it been like a 'sweatbox'.
When looking on eBay you could pick this jacket up for anywhere between £190-£300 although this does depend on the condition as the piece itself can rip very easy due to it been so thin so many of them on eBay do often come with defects and the price of Stone Island is also shooting up because of the increase of popularity with celebrities like Drake wearing items of Stone Island. The piece itself is one of my many favourites due to it being an eye-catching piece and very unique compared to your standard Stone Island pieces which every man and dog seems to have. If you manage to pick one up for under £300 then you've got a bargain although personally, I wouldn't pay over £300 as it's not a jacket that you can wear all year round as in the Summer the jacket is too warm and then in the Winter it's too thin for my liking although if you really like the piece then it's worth how much you would like to pay.
Below is a shot of how I personally style the piece and a picture of the badge and the inner label, the outfit itself consists of:
Hat - Casual Connoisseur Weir
Scarf - Burberry Nova Check Scarf
Jacket - Stone Island Lamy
Trousers - Carhartt WIP Johnson Chino
Shoes - Clarks Wallabee Orche
Until next time guys Cheers!
